The Disguise

The Disguise
😈😈😈😈😈😈😈

Matthew 10:16 Behold, I send you forth as sheep in the midst of wolves: be ye therefore wise as serpents, and harmless as doves.

(It’s Friday, and Doris decides to pay Pa Joe a visit. They are engaged in a conversation….)

πŸ‘΄πŸΎ: (Pa Joe laughs uncontrollably to the joke Doris had just cracked) Dear,I am so glad you came to visit me today. Thanks for keeping me company, even in my old age.

πŸ‘©πŸΎ: Pa Joe, you’re welcome. I am also very happy to converse with you. And I always look forward to our next meeting. (She’s about to leave, when Pa Joe calls her)

πŸ‘΄πŸΎ: Dear, please before you leave, can I ask you a question?

πŸ‘©πŸΎ: Yes Pa Joe. You can ask me anything.

πŸ‘΄πŸΎ: Thanks. How do you think the devil looks like?

πŸ‘©πŸΎ: Well, from the perception I have had growing up, I think the devil is an ugly being with two horns, a long tail, having a large fork in his left hand, sharp large teeth, scary eyes, horrible smell and most of all he is either black or red in colour. In summary Pa Joe, I think he looks horrible.

πŸ‘΄πŸΎ: (Smiles…) Could that really be how the devil looks like?

πŸ‘©πŸΎ: Yes! At least to the best of my knowledge, that is the picture the society paints mentally.

πŸ‘΄πŸΎ: (Shakes his head in disapproval) The truth there is, we cannot defeat the devil if we don’t know how he looks like to avoid him.
And this is where we have all gotten it wrong, by thinking that the devil only takes the form of a horrible creature that scares one at first sight.

πŸ‘©πŸΎ: (She’s attracted by this statement, that she sits down to pay attention) Pa Joe, what exactly do you mean by we have gotten it wrong, to think that the devil only takes the form of a scary creature to appear to man?

πŸ‘΄πŸΎ: What I mean Dear, is that the devil does not come in his true nature to deceive you. This is because he knows you will avoid him;For his true nature is wicked according to John 10:10(a) The thief cometh not, but for to steal, and to kill, and to destroy.
And so because he does not want you to know his true nature which is wickedness when coming to you, he will come in a disguise.

πŸ‘©πŸΎ: (Surprised) In a disguise!

πŸ‘΄πŸΎ: Yes dear in a disguise. The devil will come to you in the form of those that you like. Those things that seem harmless, those things that pleases you or things you even love. Most times, he may even come in the form of an answered prayer, or what the everybody expects you to have.

πŸ‘©πŸΎ: (Looks more surprised) So how then can we be able to identify him since he comes in different forms to deceive?

πŸ‘΄πŸΎ: (Glad she asked) Good question dear. To be able to identify the deceiver so as to avoid him, you must first of all come totally to the Almighty Being who sees in secret and in open, and who knows the intent of every creature, because nothing is hidden from him as he is the only Omniscience Being.

πŸ‘©πŸΎ: Pa Joe I guess this Omniscience Being is God?

πŸ‘΄πŸΎ: Yes Dear, he is God. And since he is the one that gives wisdom, he will make you wise enough to be able to identify the devil and avoid him;when you come totally to God. And you can come totally to God by surrendering all to him, and building a close relationship with him.

πŸ‘©πŸΎ: Wow! what a great revelation Pa Joe. I am really grateful for our friendship. Thanks a lot, I have indeed learnt something today.

πŸ‘΄πŸΎ: (Smiles from cheek to cheek😁) Am so glad to always converse with Doris, because you’re special to me and also because our conversion always bless this reader .🌺🌹
